The Mystery Trip ( A picture book)first few pages
Tyler and Siena stood at their front room window staring into the night sky. What would the night bring they wondered? It was a clear evening with a light breeze, a full moon lit the darkness. Siena still couldn’t believe her parents were letting them go on this adventure.
It began about a week ago when a letter addressed to both of them arrived. It wasn’t uncommon to get letters addressed to both of them, they were twins. It was unusual for them to get a letter like this one.
“Mom, Mom look at this letter Siena and got!”
“Let me see it” Siena insisted, but Tyler handed the letter to their mother.
As she read the letter, Tyler could see the concern grow on her face.
“Tyler this letter isn’t even signed, do you really think I’d let you take part in this little escapade? You are simply too young.”
“Oh Mom, our friend's parents let them do cool things, and besides we will be 13 in two weeks. Come on Mom, please. Look they even sent us the train tickets.”
“Your father will be home soon. Let’s see what he says.”
“Mom, can I see the letter?” Siena asked.
“Oh, sorry Siena, of course here you go.” she handed Siena the letter.
Siena read the letter.

“Dad is home,” Tyler shouted. Tyler still excited told Dad the news....
“Tyler, this is grea….” His dad started to say.
“Great?! What are you talking about? I’m not letting our kids traipse around town at night because they received some letter!”
Dad walked up to Mom and put his arm around her. “Carol, don’t you remember almost 20 years ago we did about the same thing?”
“Yes, but it was different then.”
The same thing? Tyler was shocked. They had been in the mansion? He looked at Siena she had the same look of disbelief on her face.
“Let me talk to your Mom tonight. I will have an answer for you in the morning.” Dad said
The next morning Tyler jumped out of bed and ran to the kitchen. Dad was always up early reading the paper.
“What did she say, Dad, what did she say? Dad, I can't wait any longer what did she say?"
“Good Morning Tyler. Great morning isn’t it?”
Dad with a wide grin on his face said, “We talked it over, and decided you can go this weekend.”
“Yeah!! Wow!! Siena, Siena we can go, we can go!
Tyler was sure the week would never end, but here they were waiting for Dad to take them to the train.
“Okay, it is 6:45 pm it is time to go,” Dad said in a spooky voice.
The train was at the station when they arrived.
“Go ahead and get on the train. I will wait until the train leaves the station. Have FUN!”
As Tyler and Siena boarded the train the conductor greeted them. They found seats, the conductor punched their tickets.... to be continued hahahaha!
